half full bucket dump

Here’s the deal:  for every contract signed with half full, FIVE hours of consultation and facilitation time is added to the half full bucket. At the end of each calendar year, the bucket of hours is “dumped” and an announcement goes out on Valentine's Day with details about how to nominate an individual, cause, organization or business in need of assistance in overcoming obstacles and moving forward strategically.

And then, you got it! The winner receives the donated service hours!

Congratulations Bucket Dump Winner of 2016: The Smith Hill Partners' Initiative (SHPI)

SHPI was created in response to a void in unity that was present in the Smith Hill neighborhood of Providence, RI. SHPI's mission is to bring about employment opportunities, programming and access to resources for families in Smith Hill. The founding members of SHPI are half full, LLC, Smith Hill Community Library, Capital City Community Centers, Smith Hill Community Development Corporation, Feinstein Institute for Public Service, The Institute For The Study & Practice of Nonviolence, Friends of Smith Hill Library and Sojourner House.

The initial focus of SHPI is Youth Programming & Development. SHPI chose to focus on Youth Programming & Development because of a lack of opportunity for young people in Smith Hill. In order to support meaningful change in the Smith Hill community, the members feel that it must start with empowering the neighborhood's young people. half full's contribution to the group is to facilitate the meetings and communicate the existing services being offered by each member.

Congratulations, SHPI!
